If an individual goes to the ER with a 40%oxygen level, what …

  • How much money did Oprah make when she sold her Gustav Klimt painting for $150 million?

Oprah acquired “Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer II” in 2006, setting an auction record at the time for the artist. It was a questionable painting with an intriguing back story. It( Continue reading)

My partner was actually at 48%a couple of hours ago. He has COPD. He is supposed to be on oxygen 24 hrs. a day. He strolled up the stairs after not being on it for about 8 hours and it checked out 48%. After sitting still for 5 minutes it checked out64 He’s on his oxygen and at 89%now. His Dr. desires him to go to the ER but he won’t and nobody can make him till he’s comatose. If he gets much lower something truly bad is going to take place. I hesitate to go anywhere or leave him alone. At 48 his face was purple/blue his hands were shaking and he might barely open his eyes. But as long as he can still speak he can refuse going to the medical facility if I call them. We live 45 minutes from the closest health center. He terrifies me insane.

I Just was released from health center. Spent 10 days with 7 in ICU. Pneumonia was the perpetrator and came to the er with 46%oxygen level. Don’t remember the majority of the time there but I do remember hallucinating and speaking with individuals who weren’t there. Frightening just how much your body can “appetite” or “thirst” for oxygen when your lacking it and how miserable you can feel with a low level. Do not smoke! … Not one cigarette I’ve ever smoked deserved the discomfort and torture of not being able to capture my breath. Similar to suffocating or drowning. Not worth it.!!

At 40%pulse ox your oxygen level the person would probably be comatose at around 60%you’re in the stroke zone you can’t get to 100%without pure oxygen given that you do not have any chronic lung illness like COPD or chronic bronchitis however 40%I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anyone at 40%I have actually had patients I was doing CPR on that were greater than 40%you would be in extreme respiratory acidosis you would likely have some brain damage if you lived from extreme serious hypoxia.

I sure hope you’re not insinuating they strolled because way.

Most likely, they’re dying, or already dead.

Humans can not survive long without a minimum of a 90%pulse Ox. 40%suggests they require instant medical intervention. Depending upon the number of minutes they have been at 40%pulse Ox will identify if the intervention is successful. Yes, I stated minutes.

For some factor the individual is not oxygenating the blood. The level ought to be 100%. 40%is incompatible with life. The factors for low o2 consist of: respiratory illness such as pneumonia, heart failure, persistent illness of the lung such as COPD or asthma, serious anemia or significant blood loss.

The body oxygenates blood by sending the blood to the lungs, then out to the body so anything that disrupts the procedure impacts oxygen levels

40%is very low and this person must be really sick if not passing away. There might be various causes why this occurred, but the majority of the time it’s a failure of lungs. There is insufficient oxygen to provide the body cells to function and the organs start to shut down.

It suggests their breathing system has stopped working and they will pass away unless instant oxygen is offered and the cause is dealt with.
